Intro
Funeral Dusk (and the cold dawn)
The serene Demise
Hypnotic, desperate,
funeral .these are the words escaping from my mouth after having absorbed those
17min 52 of funeral doom in which we are engulfed unto the hopeless abysses
of this crude doom .
From the first notes of the intro, we're denounced by those melodies full of
melancholy in which the organ would dazzle the listeners by it enchanting and
outstanding notes. But it's only the beginning since the funeral march carries
on trough "FUNERAL DUSK" with very oriental riffs and a heavy tempo
making you feel such a strangulation , a death metal singing with an abyssal
depth , the whole led by some passages of punishment and organ melodies where
everything fades and bequeath to pain more fullness and height reaching the
end of this funeral voyage with "THE SERENE DEMISE" pronounced by
its atmospheric intro and melodious at once , a Doom/Death told by a ghostly
voice interspersed by some piano notes coated with dark ambiences.
The atmospheres of the demo are close to THERGOTHON with a hint of SKEPTICISM
even too My Dying Bride, a real flood of sadness which won't leave you insensitive
.
The reproach that can be done to this demo is the production which is faint
but doesn't conceal the instruments or the vocal parts . we must underline that
the mastering is finely done , even if the rhythm box that sounds averagely
good should be replaced by acoustic drums and a real drummer , and this would
give much fullness to this devastating Doom Death.
I will advise the fans of Doom Death metal to listen to the demo and keep following
the steps of this band closely
very closely .
