Tierra del
Dragon is a Venezuelan Heavy Metal band created February 2000 by Homero
Aguillón and Carlos Reverón, inspired by bands like Rhapsody,
Angra and Symphony X. During this time various musicians participated
in this band, the likes of Krystoffer López (currently the drummer
of Krueger) and Antonio Narciso, so that today's line-up is complete and
as strong as ever.
The band has played in different places of the capital (Caracas), like:
Esperanto Music Store, Doors, La Mosca and the TV show "el Garaje"
hosted by Paul Gillman (being the last band to play on it before it was
cancelled by VTV) as well as in the rest of the country: Valencia, Maracay,
Acarigua, Zulia and others. It is important to notice that Tierra del
Dragon and Gillman represented Venezuela in the November 2001 presentation
of the Spanish band Baron Rojo during their show in the country.
It has participated three times in the most prestigious Metal festival,
the Melomaniac Metal Festival, and (being a Heavy Metal Band) has played
in the "Teatro Teresa Carreño", the most important theater
in the country, and it has played with other bands like Krueger, Morbus,
Lignum Crucis and Torre de Marfil.
As for recorded material, there's the "Eclipse" Demo CD, containing
the songs Sobre las Ruinas del castillo (recorded in the year 2000) and
Eclipse (recorded in the year 2001), and a live CD recorded on Zulia-2001.
The song Eclipse has often been included in compilatory CD's, like the"Melomaniac
Compilatorio Vol. 2" (2002), and "Oscuridad Eterna" (2003)
for international marketing.
Tierra del Dragon has recorded it's second Demo CD on May 2004 with it's
current line up, "Recuerdos del Olvido" with the songs "Más
Allá del Fin" and "Bosque Infinito".
