-Temptation of Oath (9/10)-Jordan-2004
Genre: Black Metal
Label: Independant
Playing time: 18:56
Tracklist:
The Black Enemy
Sacrum of War
Morgoth
This demo is in
my opinion one of best in Jordan on all the plans, especially the recording
as says Tareq Fayyad in their interview on our site.
The sound is very clean and really powerful with a mix well achieved; very present
guitars and solos very heavy and good techniques, keyboards aren't very present
and used as it is necessary, a very audible bass (what is not often the case),
without forgetting a varied singing to this heavy melodic black metal a la Children
of Bodom or Old Man's Child with a dominant classical music influence.
The first title "The Black Enemy" is a pure treat for fans of this
kind (heavy with enchanting melodies). Sacrum War of makes me remember on some
passages a mixture between Maiden and Yngwie with a succession of heavy riffs
and very neo classical parts with a break at the end that makes me recall a
symphony (oops I forgot which one!!) And we'll finish with Morgoth that begins
with a bluesy solo linking with galloping and catchy heavy riffs without forgetting
some very technical guitar parts.
The only thing that I will reproach to this band is probably its lack of originality
.but I'm sure that they will arrive to construct itself an identity with a little
bit more maturity!!!
Keep on working guys!!
