ROT IN PIECES:
Rot in Pieces were from Hull, Quebec, Canada and played bastard music that we used to call SHREDCORE :
a mix of Grindcore/Crust/Mathcore/Death...
Rot in Pieces was originally formed in March 1999 by DEZ (vocals/ex-guitarist).
The first two years consisted mainly in composing.That was due to the monthly line-up changes...
Later, in year 2001, NIC, our bassist, joined ''the so called band'' (joined DEZ, lets say, huhu).Before the Summer, we found ITS to play drums.Then, DEZ decided to stop playing guitar to do only vocals (but still composes musick)...
So, we were even 6 sometimes; 2 basses (when an old member, FRANCIS, came back...) & 2 guitars (JÉRÔME and sometimes JAS).It was pretty destructive... especially for the ears!The 2 guitarists & the second bassist all left the band and DEZ had to came back on guitar as usual...Until VIL came along in February 2002.
A month later, we started doing gigs...The same year, we recorded a never to be released demo and released a CD split with Hypoptalasias.
The end happened in summer 2003.The last show was at the Quebec Metal Fest, on August 2nd.The 7'' split with Agathocles is our last release (recorded even after the end of the band)

HYPOPTALASIAS:
We started as "grindcore de chambre" in 98 . After some line up change and a unreleased demo only kriss(bass) romain(guitar) and matthieu(guitar) remains when they meet nico for playing the blast beat. June 99 we did our first gig , then romain quit the band . same year we did a split tape with a us band calld hypoxyphilia and then a trompetist join us in 2000 with who we did release lots of small blast for the split cd with rotten cunt . whe started to play live more frequently thoses years 00/01 and the trumpetist finally quit us .
In march 2001 our actual singer join us and since this date our line up is still the same: -nico: drums, vocals -johan: vocals -kriss: bass, vocals -matthieu: guitar
After that we did some splits - tapes on vendredis 13 recording. and put some songs on various compils . at the end of 2002 the split cd with rot in pieces is out . In 2003 we did release a long planned 10" split with analrip(r.i.p) and a 7" with denak from spain. at time we plan to release a full cd in the next year and some splits.
