Formed late 91 (nov. dec) in las vegas nevada began as a 3 piece 2 guitars and drums.played that way until 93. added a bassist to line up. remained 4 piece until 99. dropped 1 guitar became a 3 piece again. 1 guitar 1 bass & drums.
began touring in 95. 1st few touring roadshows were in bullhead city arizona, st. george utah, albuquerque new mexico, dumont dunes california. then in 97 toured the "Grave" album 9 months on the road in support of the cd. played at expo of the extreme 97 oct 29-31st in chicago illinois congress theatre.
participated in battle of the unsigned bands and won 1st prize free recording "Dawn of Souls" 5 months later while still on the Grave tour, recorded "Christ Has Risen". returned back to las vegas talked to Paul Speckmann (MASTER) and booked a us tour. on that tour, we recorded "U$$A" our 5th record (mcd).
with this release we did a mini tour with LEPROSY (mexico) 1 show in las vegas 5 shows in california 1 show in chicago. + a few shows with JOHNNY VOMIT (chicago) IMMORAL INTENT (bellingham washington) KRABATHOR (us and mexico) tour with DISGORGE & ANARCHUS (mexico) and STONEAGE (el paso texas)
to this date 11-21-02 REQUIEM has over 275 touring roadshows coast to coast in the usa and 25 shows all thru mexico, and 5 shows in peru south america.there we recorded our 6th record volume 6 with John Capcha from HADEZ the oldest peruvian metal band.this album is now out thru KETZER RECORDS from GERMANY.
in september 2001 just a couple of days after the attacks to new york,we flew to cuba to play and tour, the 1st and only american metal band to go to the island invited by COMMANDER FIDEL CASTRO to play. due to the promoters there not holding up to thier end of the deal, the shows scheduled never happened. but we were in LA HABANA (havana) anyway. a very nice country and very nice people.
expect the release of the strongest REQUIEM record so far "LOCK THE DEAD" 2003.
