Formed in march '94 by Mikylee ( ex Wide Open Cage, Watcha), MOONSTONE first started as a cover band named Slacker playing AC/DC, Helloween, Judas Priest, Kiss, Metallica, Malmsteen... During 3 years they did over 200 concerts all across France.
In december '98 Slacker became MOONSTONE with a new line-up : Isabelle Toussaint ( ex Gangster) on the bass guitar, Sacha Sorokine on the guitars, Paula Guittard as lead singer and Mikylee on the drums. Since then MOONSTONE has been writing their own songs playing powerful melodic heavy metal. This first album is a good start and goes straight for the heart. Let’s hope MOONSTONE will make many more.
In June 2000 Isabelle left the band because of a big event in her personal life : she had a baby boy called Warren. She was replaced by Roberto Montanti.
In the meanwhile Ronan Jacques entered MOONSTONE as second guitar player.
In September 2000 Sacha was kicked out of the band because of his attitude during the gigs and after the gigs.
June 2001 Franck Vidal joined the band as guitar player.
September 2002: a new line up: on vocals: Paula, on guitar: Franck, on guitar: Emilien, on bass: Gilles, on drums: Mikylee.
11.24.2003: MOONSTONE's new album is coming: The Second Rune.
