In this day of feast of the independence and youth in Algeria we had a sacred evening of more than 6 hours of pure rock and Metal sound in spite of some bad surprises.After the "100% metal concert" organised last year by LELAHEL METAL that gathered 2 great bands LITHAM( dark/heavy metal) and MELTDOWN (heavy black metal) ,this year thanks to "arts & culture"we had the right for a gig gathering many rock , hard rock and metal bands.

Even the delay , due to the balance, the concert was foreseen to 7:00 pm but finally began at 20:00 pm.Half n' hour later was one of the biggest moments of that evening ,when Hakim the singer of the band D'zair (80's style rock band) called all the leaders of the other bands to join him on stage to shout out loud" that rock in all its shapes be finally recognized in Algeria" , then Hakim bequeathed his place to moh kg2 that gave a homage to his old partner Omar (more known as boualem el far) ex drummer of the band T34 that was one of the pioneer of the rock in Algeria.To finish,redouane of the band LITHAM asked the public to stand up and return an ultimate homage to all those who succumbed to the earthquake of last May 21 that hit the north of Algeria.

That's been for more than 4 hours that the metal heads are overexcited, they are impatient of slamming .For once the service of security gave are green light (therefore slams and head-bangings insureds)And it is at this moment that LITHAM finally jumped on stage, metal-heads have only one thing in head: to unleash themselves on the pure metal sound made in litham , but they will be surprised since litham starts with El mekine ezzine in a dedicated soft version for its author & interpreter Mohamed el badji big master of chaabi music who died last June 28.That was with clear "melodic" singing (whitch wasn't the strongest thing for the band) this version is quiet enough compared to the adaptation made before by litham ,metal-heads are a little disappointed. After El meknine ezzine it was the tour of another adaptation (el ' insiraf) this time the rhythme changes. That is the pure and hard litham but there is a vague something that misses (the crowd is not numerous enough to appease its thirst of headbanging).

But nothing is finished yet ,since redouane announces one of titles that is going to change literally the atmosphere. ‘DJAHANAMA ' khala, Redouane Bassist vocalist of LITHAM takes to a small game shouting ‘' djahanama ...and the metal heads howl of pleasure " khala " and then notes link together the crowd unleash themselves. The sound is distinctly better. Games of light and some clouds of smoke changed the atmosphere , and also the alchemy of duet yacine/ismail who surpassed themselves that evening to bloody riffs stroke, a madness percussion signed sabri that was born in my opinion with sticks in his hands,and without forgetting the smashing and powerful voice of redouane that had to make become pale many people .

But everything has got an end ..the 30 mins flowed out and the crowd wanted more and more but the evening was not yet finished.because of timing ,litham had to let the place for the other bands.Without forgetting the public that was once again to the appointment .

I would say merely long life to the Algerian metal……….
