Kharon was
formed in 1989 by Rigor(Guitar) and Kull(bass).General Hymer(Drums/vocal)
and Rym Vicious(Guitar/vocal) joined the band in the early 90’s.
From 1990-1994, Kharon played several concerts in Norway and recorded
one song called “Coma of Hallucination” which brought good reviews
in one of Norway’s biggest newspapers.
In 1994 the members of “Kharon” split to join other bands and
projects. Rym and G.Hymer(Thyme) took part in the forming of the Black
Metal band “Ragnarok”
Rigor joined a band called “Shades of God”, Kull and G.Hymer
took part in a project band called “Sunshine’s Gone”.
Five years later, in 1999, Rigor, Kull and G.Hymer reunited and when Tamlin
joined them the year after they became “Kharon” as they sound
today.
With this line-up + a guest singer(Rym) they recorded the first “Kharon”
demo January 2001. It was called “The Fullmoon Curse” and Neodawn
Productions distributed 1000 copies of it.
