Kaoteon originally known as Chaotaeon (Chaotic Aeon = Zaman el Daya3) has no political nor religious goals but musical, philosophical and chaotic views.
This Mediterranean band started in 1999 as a one man band by Anthony.In 2000, Walid joined the set to apply his noisy screams to it.Unfortunately, they were never able to find anyone who could fill the void permanently in the band's lineup.
In 2002, Kaoteon ran into some old members at the Metal Mania concert where they spontaneously decided to play "Freezing moon" by Mayhem at the end of the show, so it was their first unexpected appearance.Kaoteon's lineup quest ended with Anthony and Walid due to the deficit of local talent.However, several songs were composed but none were recorded since there was no drummer.
By late 2002, the band started working on new material that were constantly delayed due to some problems; anyway the band's first gig took place on December 20th 2003 which was a success (170 tickets were sold from 21:00 till 22:30; alas, the concert was shut down afterwards because of a misinterpretation by the local cops).
Therefore, the band became obliged to change their name to Kaoteon to avoid the prolonged harassments and misunderstandings with the local monolingual policemen.
On 12th of January 2004 the band managed to enter the studio for few hours to record the drums and vocals (in one take) which will be mixed with the home recorded instruments and unleashed pretty soon on the debut demo.
