KABBAL is a DEATH-METAL band created in 1999 by the guitarist, drumer and composer, HAZAEL. He founded KABBAL with active musicians from the south east of France. GHIMEL, guitarist and composer helped HAZAEL to stabilize a brutal environment.
Agressive guitars, devastating drums, technique finesse. Multiple tempo changes, ferocious vocals caracterize the KABBAL sound. Influenced by MORBID ANGEL, SLAYER and DEATH. Extreme brutality, with Dark and melodic passages, the group's style is a mix of fine musical choices.
The band has chosen English, to spread their spiritual and ideological messages to touch a larger public. Aiming to popularize diverse mythologies (Assyrien, Sumerian, etc ...). The lyrics of the first demo -NEARLY INCOMPREHENSIBLE- were not printed on the CD for censor reasons (Cf VAGINAL HOLOCAUST).
The morbid scenery that comes with the concept of the band is an original artwork created by ALEPH, giving more depth to the tortured universe of KABBAL.
DEATH-METAL loosing its popularity, the band continues to work hard, exploring the different faces of a real Metal cult and offers a 21st century of real brutal music.
The first demo, 'THE WRETCHED', was recognized for its deep and evolved sound. Recorded during the winter of 1999, It made a real success, was chronicled in the "HARD N'HEAVY" magazine (N°58) and was also chosen to be on THE METAL ACTION compil.
TRISOPHILIAC, member of the death band "PENOMBRIAL ORB", side-project of HAZAEL, suggested JIMI to help for the live performance.
In a more extreme style -less trash and more death "SUPREME RITUEL"(2000) is the proud successor of "THE WRETCHED" and gives enough to start gigs. Many concerts, from MARSEILLES to CANNES (the brutal fest), helped to affirm the re-birth of a style that everybody thought was dying.
"HERETIC" is the masterpiece of the band. Even more complex, even more extreme. In inviting XZ to join the band, taking the vocals and bass guitar, KABBAL has found a stable structure.
After only three years of existence, the band has joined the professional circle with a first album.
