Formed in
1996, Hungary's Frost started taking on a black metal tradition started
by the early 90's Norwegian black metal bands. While slightly less atmospheric,
Frost also incorporates a more brutal approach not usually found in many
of their early Norwegian predecessors. Releasing five demos, and two albums,
the band does still exist though many members have now left to form their
own bands and the future of Frost does remain in question.
Originally released in 2001 on the now defunct Stygian Shadows Productions,
this album quickly became something of an instant classic (around these
parts at least). Showcasing some of the finest Atmospheric Black Metal.
So rather than see this album go by the wayside, we present this album
again, completely re-mastered, a new layout, and featuring bonus tracks
from their Song of the Ancient Gods ep, Voices From Beyond the Gates ep,
and their Tormentor cover (Elisabeth Bathory) from the Tormentor tribute
album released by Osiris Prod.
