Edenbeast
were born in 2000 from an idea of Fabio and Andrea, respectively lead
guitarist and drummer, with Elio on the bass, Valerio at the rhythm guitar
and Nem and Maya as two vocalists. After some changes in the formation,
a change in the style, now more thrash-metal-oriented, and some live performances,
2002 saw the arrival of Vittorio on the bass, a boy grown with bread and
Slayer.
After a year of covers (Slayer, Motorhead, Judas Priest and Pantera, still
being played these days) and Erik's entrance in the band on the rhythm
guitar, they recorded a five-songs demo, titled "The secret agony
of a dying angel", dedicated to dear friend of theirs who had just
died. Besides Edenbeast, the group members had other parallel projects:
Fabio was playing in an Iron Maiden tribute band first, and in a Slayer
one later. Andrea used to play in a cover band and Vittorio in a Led Zeppelin
tribute. After a strong and important series of live performances throughout
Northern Italy, Erik decides to leave the band, which would go on for
some concerts with three members, finding new life and giving birth to
the new demo: "Last day on Earth", featuring heavy thrash influences
and intimate and depressive lyrics, inspired by the romantic literature
of 1800 and by Fabio's crazy love for My dying bride. Their goal is a
contract, through reviews, radio appearances, interviews about the demos,
thanks to the help of Millennium Promo Agency and Noisy Hours Agency,
which would bring the to the first album in 2005, which will be probably
featuring some of the new songs already written, more complex and technical.
