The Forgotten formed in March of 1995 by guitarist Ed, drummer Mar, and M on vocals. They wanted to create a unique mixture of chaotic Black/Death, and Doom. Taking their queue from such influences as Mercyful Fate, Asphyx, Beherit, Suffocation, and early Mayhem. They spent the next two years working on material and finding a steady line-up. And they released the classic self-titled rehearsal demo in April 1997. While, the demo was a crude showcase of what was to some. It established the Forgotten as one of the more innovative bands coming from the US. During this time, the band required keyboard player/guitarist J.Mroz and bass player G.Layman. "To Walk The forest Black" followed soon after which was simply a more professional re-recording of their previous demo. The tape hit the streets in Dec. of 1997. G.Layman was then replaced by Maureen on bass. Several shows were played during this time to spread the band's name to the masses. After parting ways with Ed and spending time finding a steady line-up the band finally settled with John on keyboards and J.Mroz taking over all guitar duties and started working on new material. The Forgotten entered the studio to record their first CD L'Aldila. The CD was finally released in Dec. of 2000, which was a sick and disturbing release. The band parted ways with keyboard player John and Bass player Maureen and G.Layman returned to the Forgotten, this time on second guitar and a few months later Joe of the doom cult (RIGOR SARDONOCOUS) joined on bass. The band decided to change the name to DIMENTIANON. The band then put out a split 7 "with RIGOR SARDONICOUS (which was the last release under the name The Forgotten), in early 2002. In the summer 2002 they put out a 3 song rehearsal promo for the new album entitled THE SEVEN SUICIDES. During this time the band played as many shows as possible further expanding there fan base. Seven Suicides was released Sept 23rd on Paragon Records Intl. after which Marc was replaced by Ryan on drums. This is their most lethal release yet but awaits the future.
