The idea came from between Redouane and Nabyl.G few years ago, and it was about to share a gig together with some north African or the great Arab country bands to make noise "dajij".
A first initiative was taken by Lelahelmetal festival which gathered 3 Maghrebian bands during October 2003, but its Moroccan representative couldn't participate for lack of clean police record…. Meanwhile all the work carried on between both of them and the appointment was fixed for Thursday May 17th in Casablanca at Med V airport. A second step of the metallic link between the guys was taken, the master-word "metal heads can do what politicians cannot".
D.day-2: first observation; even our planes arrive in delay in reply to the preestablished idea of our country's supremacy in all fields. A Salam Alaikoum and welcome bros, hup! The discussion starts instantaneously in custom "….so, you guys?!! Everything's okay…."
While taking direction to the "promised land" the impression came unanimously: GREAAAAT, fffffuckin greaaat, there's going to be trrrrrouble.
Now it's time to eat with a 'koul koul merkaouia' (not in the pejorative way) and the discussion got back around a tea a la Moroccan way! There's also mint in Algeria.
Time is launched. For the evening a meeting under a tent with REBORN and LITHAM members, it's already 1:30 a.m but nobody wants to move and the sideboard is already dried up. moooore beeeeeer !
The D-1, guys the breakfast is……… hey you smoke too much? It helps for eating ………..unanimously of course! So we'll make a tour in the tow………..it's done, and the evening if for HipHopers and shawarma.
The D-day, the day seems very hot. Everybody was awake at 9 am going to the C.O.C. ground, the lelahelmetal vol.1 was all over the town! "…..Walid from Kaoteon would be happy…..don't worry for the next year…"
REBORN are on stage, the hole is set ,the crowd's raging , it's time for the Moroccan Multi-influences Metal "MMM" with FORCED POLUTION, REASONS WHY ? , MULTINATIONALCOMPANIES'S WORLD " Mnc's world " and DESOLATE AND FORSAKEN track after track till WAR FOR TERRITORY SEPULTURA cover which was a good musical demonstration , with no rehearsal nor arrangement , it's a pure north-african sound rocking , on stage 3 members of REBORN and LITHAM , here is yacine from LITHAM head-banging for the first time , Nabyl G. giving himself wings , Redouane crawling on the ground, Saad turning 'round himself like a sunflower , Amine smashin' off his guitar , while Sabri merging the drums , it's a pure Maghrebian war for territory.
The hostilities carried on with LITHAM , then silence reigned and everybody was waiting to see and listen to the Algerian sound , they started by EL DJAMRA , EL MEKNINE EZZINE, THE FALL , MADNESS GATES a special novelty for a special audience, INSIRAF (yalayali madhat lana) a blend of Algerian classical music and metal lithamly performed and ended with WINTER TALES .
The crowd doesn't stop, from energy drink to ecstasy 'twas a euphorically-hysterical atmosphere. 'Headbang muthafuckersss'.
According to the organizers for that day there were more than 20.000 heads the Maghrebian scene is well and truly present and the Arab metal starts to show its claws.
Back to the tent LITHAM and REBORN devastate everything as usual, and the decision is taken in the bar beside, it's time for futures plan such….. Next time it will happen in Algiers
